Vampire: The Requiem

The name says it all...

Vampire: The Requiem

Hello all,

I'm planning on holding a session of Vampire: The Requiem role-playing game. Would anyone be interested in playing?

The session is meant as an introduction to new players and so it will only cover Act I of a pre-made campaign with 4 pre-made characters. If there are more than 4 people interested, I can run a second session with another group. Also, if you want to create your own characters, you're welcome to do so. If enough people are interested, I'll hold an introductory session on basic rules and character making, prior the the session. We could have this an hour before the session, or on a separate day. I would expect the session to last for about 3 hours.

This is my first time running a role-playing game, so it's as much a new experience for me as might be for you. :)

 sweet!

Ok I'm gonna try and do this next term, since I'm crazy busy this term. I hope by then more people will be interested.

Katie, since you're the only one that replied, let me ask you this: would you prefer a modern or Dark Age setting? The reason I ask is that you've already played a D&D session, which deals with a fantasy/medieval setting, and a Dark Age setting is similar to that.

While I've already prepared a session using Vampire: The Requiem for a modern setting, I'm also reading another rulebook Dark Ages: Vampire, which uses the original Vampire: The Masquerade rule-set and lore. Basically, Requiem was made to replace the now old and finished series of Vampire: The Masquerade, which ran from 1990s to 2004. You might have heard about Vampire The Masquerade: Redemption and/or Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines video games. They are based off of Masquerade. Requiem basically turns Masquerade lore on its head, so it's incompatible with it unfortunately. But this doesn't affect us much.

Anyways, for all of you, here's more info about the games:
If you're interested in playing, you don't have to read all of this, as I'll explain all you need to know.
